Shocking: Son Dials 911, Confesses to Parents’ Hammer, Knife Deaths

An Arizona man was arrested for killing his parents after calling 911 to confess to the act. Jonathan A. Turk, 29, was taken into custody following the discovery of the bodies of Fraser S. Turk and Tina B. Turk in their Peoria home near Phoenix.

Jonathan admitted to using a hammer and a knife to murder his parents, stating his anger over being put on medication as the motive. He was arrested without incident at the scene.

Fraser, 63, was found dead at the top of a staircase, while Tina, 56, was discovered in a master bathroom. Jonathan is now facing two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the killings.

During a court appearance, concerns were raised about Jonathan’s mental health, noting his history of mental health petitions. Fraser and Tina had previously filed mental health petitions for their son.

In a separate incident, a man in Hillsborough, New Jersey, was shot by police during his arrest for fatally beating his parents. Patrick J. Lin was charged with multiple counts, including first-degree murder and attempted murder.

In 2023, Jonathan was reported missing, prompting a missing persons alert from the Peoria Police Department. At that time, he was considered endangered due to his medical conditions and daily medications.

The Turks were described as respected individuals in the medical field, with Fraser working as a physician’s assistant and Tina as a nurse. Their deaths came as a shock to family and friends.
