Two Chilean men involved in the burglary of former tennis champion Juan Martín del Potro’s home in Argentina were reportedly also wanted by Interpol in connection with a wider series of international robberies targeting high-profile athletes.
Authorities say the suspects were part of a South American crime group linked to break-ins across the United States and Argentina between 2024 and 2025. The network allegedly targeted the homes of well-known sports figures, including Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Bobby Portis, and Travis Kelce, who is also engaged to Taylor Swift.
Investigators reportedly linked the suspects to the crimes through travel and traffic records, and said the group timed burglaries to coincide with when athletes were away. Stolen items are believed to include luxury goods, cash, and jewelry, with total losses estimated in the millions.
