Fiancée of NFL Star Antoine Winfield Jr. Steps in to Help Woman After Car Accident
During a friends-and-family bus ride to the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Los Angeles on March 21, a woman was struck by a car right in front of the bus. Tessa Mpagi, fiancée of Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr., jumped into action without hesitation.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Mpagi stayed by the woman’s side, held her hand, called her husband for support, and offered comfort until emergency responders arrived. She even accompanied the injured woman to the hospital in the ambulance.
Other helpers included EAG Sport employees Alexandra Garcia and Cecilia Macris, while EAG CEO Denise White directed traffic to keep the area safe.
The Fanatics Flag Football Classic featured Team USA facing squads of current and former NFL players, including Tom Brady, Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, Stefon Diggs, and Winfield himself. Team USA won the championship against Burrow’s Wildcats team.
Brady, 48, expressed excitement about the event as a preview for flag football’s debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, saying, “Having Team USA as the third team… elevates the already world-class talent participating. I’m fired up to see how these teams stack up… But I’m not coming back to the football field to lose. That’s for damn sure.”
Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers headlined the RX3 Charity Flag Football event in Mission Viejo, California, highlighting that every player and sponsor was competing for a charity rather than a paycheck, celebrating the growing spotlight on flag football ahead of LA28.
