Kendra Duggar Arrested—But Her Case Has ‘Nothing to Do’ With Husband Joseph’s Alleged Crimes
Kendra Duggar was arrested just two days after her husband Joseph Duggar, but insiders say her charges are entirely separate from his alleged offenses. A source told Us Weekly that her arrest stemmed from a routine home investigation following Joseph’s arrest, which is standard when minors live in the home.
The source explained, “After his charge, they automatically do a home study if minors live there. They came to her house.” Authorities reportedly cited issues such as door locks on two rooms being on the outside rather than the inside, claiming this could indicate improper detention of the children. Kendra, 27, was released the same day on a $1,470 bond.
Meanwhile, Joseph, 31, faces multiple serious charges, including lewd and lascivious behavior for allegedly molesting a 9-year-old in Florida nearly six years ago, as well as four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of false imprisonment. He is currently awaiting extradition to Florida.
Though the timing of Kendra’s arrest coincided with her husband’s legal troubles, sources emphasize the two cases are legally unrelated, with her arrest purely tied to the findings of the home investigation.
